How Can I help?

We are very grateful to you for your interest in Living Springs and thank you for your support. If you should be interested in making a ‘one off’ donation or becoming a regular donor we have a Just Giving page available.

Six Life Changing Ways

Your support could make a big difference

1

Residential Support

Keeping families together

We provide support to vulnerable children and their parents at a difficult time in their lives. We teach parent craft and life skills in order to help parents improve their parenting and keep the family together. We aim to create a safe environment where good parenting skills can be modelled and the cycle of failure broken.

2

Community Support

Keeping families in their own homes

Sometimes families need ongoing support in their own homes and our team of trained workers will make regular visits to help ensure that parents are caring for their children appropriately and maintaining hygiene and conditions in their homes to an adequate standard.

3

PAMS assessments for families with learning difficulties

Some parents have a degree of learning difficulty and therefore take longer to learn new skills. In such circumstances a ‘PAMS’ programme of teaching and assessment is used by specially trained staff. This is a simplified form of teaching, which is easier to understand and tailored to the specific needs of the parents

4

The Freedom Programme for work around domestic abuse

Many of the parents with whom we work have previously been subjected to control and domestic abuse. We have staff trained in the use of the Freedom Programme, which is a programme developed to assist individuals in regaining their confidence and self-esteem and helping them to set appropriate boundaries in the future in order to safeguard themselves and their children.

5

Counselling and Psycho-education for holistic therapeutic support

We provide support to vulnerable children and their parents at a difficult time in their lives. We teach parent craft and life skills in order to help parents improve their parenting and keep the family together. We aim to create a safe environment where good parenting skills can be modelled and the cycle of failure broken.

CAFE 105

Social Enterprise

Based at 105 High Street, Stourbridge, the cafe serves breakfast, lunches, light snacks, cakes and drinks (including Fairtrade teas and coffees) in a warm and welcoming environment. The cafe is open Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 4.00pm (last food orders at 3pm). We support apprenticeships for young people and host a growing number of community groups as part of our vision to create a community hub, in partnership with Living Springs.
